Lower School

Our lower school classes are academic based.  FIA is not a daycare or learn through place center.  We are a curriculum based program that works diligently with your student to prepare them socially, behaviorally and academically.  We treat our lowers school just as our grade school, with many opportunities for parent involvement, and communication.  Your child will get detailed bimonthly progress reports pin pointing areas of growth and areas that need support in all core subjects.

We offer half day classes AM (8:00am-11:30am) or PM (12:00pm-3:30), with a variety of schedules (T,TH, MWF or M-F).  We also offer full day options, but these slots are limited.  Please feel free to call us to make an appointment to tour our school and meet our staff.

Preschool
(Children turning three before September 1st)
***Your child must be potty trained in order to register for this class

Our preschool class has a ratio of 10 students to 2 teachers.  All of our lead teachers have a degree in elementary education, with experience, or a masters.  You can enroll your child for this class the month of their third birthday.  This class works on the Hand Writing Without Tears program in order to assist your little learner to become more independent in their learning.  In addition to writing, they will also be taught literacy, and math daily, with social studies and science lessons every other day.

Kindergarten Prep
(Children that will be four before September 1st)

The ratio in our Kindergarten Prep class is 10:1.  This class works on the NC goals and objectives for Kindergarten. In the KP class students will be learning how to read, write and do age appropriate mathematics. The average learner will graduate this class more than ready for Kindergarten, most students will have already completed their kindergarten goals.
